Help Elly with her qualification test and search for Calus. Follow the steps from preparation to completing the objective and collecting the reward.

Complete all three Episode II quests on the same difficulty to replay completed quests.

■ WalkthroughWALKTHROUGH

1. Hear the test explanation with Elly in the Lab

   Accept Elly's request on Pioneer 2 and head to the Lab. Hear the explanation, then transfer to the VR field.

2. Clear VR Temple Beta

   Protect Elly, defeat enemies and advance the encounters with other teams and the trap events. Where Elly disables a mechanism, wait for her to come close. Finish the dialogue and disarming sequence, then proceed to the next transporter.

3. Fight the other team in VR Spaceship Beta

   When the other team attacks, defeat its two hunters and finish the dialogue granting your second ID. Rejoin Elly and continue. If she says she cannot unlock the computer, attack and destroy the terminal to open the route.

4. Finish the hostage scene and the next hunter battle

   When the team farther ahead demands your ID, give your initial response. At the next question, with Elly held hostage, choose to hand it over. You then fight one hunter. Defeat the hunter and return to Elly.

5. Collect three IDs and approach the gate with Elly

   Return to Elly, finish the dialogue and event and receive your third ID. Check the IDs on the Quest Board and approach the gate farther ahead together. If Elly does not start her gate-opening dialogue, wait for her to come close. Bring her near the final gate beyond it as well.

6. Defeat Gol Dragon

   After the final gate opens, use the transporter to reach Gol Dragon. Defeat it, return to the Lab and confirm that you passed the test.

7. Open the transporter in the Central Control Area

   Continue Elly's dialogue and head to the Central Control Area. After the Calus event, scold the discouraged Elly and choose to jump off the cliff. Operate the evacuation terminal below to release the emergency lock.

8. Use the correct Control Tower terminals to climb

   Use the table below and operate only the correct terminal on each floor. With Elly accompanying you, use the interaction button in front of the terminal to call her. If she only says she is coming, wait for her to get close and call again. With Kireek, destroy the correct terminals. Activating a dummy triggers security and changes the final events.

9. Finish the events at the top

   Advance the conversation between Calus and Elly at the top of the tower. Hear the return dialogue and the thanks on Pioneer 2, then collect the reward.

■ TipsTIPS

Defeating Gol Dragon completes the first-half test. To complete the quest, continue through the Central Control Area and Control Tower afterwards.

After the first-half test, choose to record progress at the save point on Pioneer 2 to resume from the start of the Central Control Area section. If stopping, exit normally with Quit Game from the main menu. When accepting the quest again, choose to resume from the recorded point.

The intermediate record preserves Sue's route and your answers so far. To change answers affecting the ring, restart from the beginning of the quest. Completing the quest clears the intermediate record.

The quest fails if the accompanying Elly or Kireek is defeated. Maintain your own HP and help your companion first if enemies surround them.

After hearing the final thanks at the seaside, approach Elly promptly when she starts walking away to see an additional event. This scene follows the thanks and is separate from the conditions for receiving the ring.

■ Preparation for the Ragol RingEXTRA

1. Complete Knowing One's Heart on the same difficulty first.
2. Advance Sue's dialogue in this order: tell her your name in Dr. Osto's Research; talk to her in The Unsealed Door and tell Bernie about her; ask her about Black Paper in Waterfall Tears and finish her farewell; then ask what she is investigating in Black Paper.
3. Defeat Gal Gryphon in the Episode II main adventure before accepting this quest.
4. Leave one free inventory slot so you can receive the ring at the end.

■ Answers required for the Ragol RingEXTRA

1. Accept Elly's first request confidently. Choosing the hesitant response disqualifies you from the ring even if you change your answer afterwards.
2. In the Lab, choose to get on the transporter.
3. When Elly is held hostage in the Spaceship, hand over the ID.
4. After the first-half test, choose the affirmative, determined response when asked whether to continue.
5. In the Central Control Area, scold the discouraged Elly. Then choose to jump down.
6. When Sue warns you about the danger, choose the response saying you will manage.
7. Take the route with Kireek accompanying you in the tower. Destroy only the correct terminals in the table below and do not activate any dummy terminals. Activating an extra terminal changes the final events and prevents the ring-receiving dialogue.
8. Finish the final event and the seaside conversation to receive the Ragol Ring.
9. Replaying on a difficulty where you have already received it will not give another ring. Resuming from an intermediate record also preserves your answers up to that point.
