■ WalkthroughWALKTHROUGH
- Hear the assistant's explanation
Talk to Dr. Guls's assistant at the Guild and go down to Forest 1.
- Talk to the first Rappy
Examine the Rappy near the starting point in Forest 1 that you can talk to. It disappears after the conversation.
- Continue and have the second conversation
Defeat the surrounding Rappies as you continue and find the next Rappy you can talk to. After the conversation, proceed farther.
- Talk repeatedly at the third location
At the final location, keep talking instead of leaving after one conversation. Continue until the doctor reveals his identity and agrees to return.
- Report to the assistant and collect the reward
Return to Pioneer 2 and report to the assistant. To see the Chao bonus, revisit Forest 1 before collecting the reward at the counter.
■ TipsTIPS
The doctor is not an enemy to defeat. Keep talking at the final location.
There are 47 combat Rappies. The doctor and the Rappies you talk to after completing the objective are not included in this total.
■ GameCube bonus: ChaoEXTRA
- After bringing the doctor back and reporting to his assistant, use the Telepipe to return to Forest 1 before collecting the reward at the Guild counter.
- At the doctor's final location, head in the direction the three Rappies are facing. Pause near the water to make a Chao appear. Break any boxes blocking your way.
- Talk to the Chao and receive the bonus. When you return to Pioneer 2, a GBA terminal appears outside the Guild.
- Prepare a Game Boy Advance and a GBA link cable, then follow the terminal's instructions to download the Chao Tiny Garden.
■ Transferring games to a GBAEXTRA
- After the Chao event, return to Pioneer 2 to use the GBA transfer device.
- Connect the GBA cable to GameCube controller port 4 and turn on the Game Boy Advance.
- At the device, choose the data-download option, select Chao Tiny Garden, NiGHTS - SCORE ATTACK - or Minna de Puyo Puyo, and confirm Yes to begin the transfer.
- Wait for the transfer-complete message. If a failure message appears, check the cable connection, restart the GBA and try downloading again. Also restart and retry if the transfer has not finished after five minutes.
- The Chao Tiny Garden contains a Tails Chao. Transfer it to the Chao Garden in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle to give it a Tails-like appearance.
